Hostel Policies

Your guide to a safe, respectful, and enjoyable stay with us. Please read our policies carefully.

Check-in and Check-out Policy

  • The standard check-in time is 01:00 PM, and the standard check-out time is 11:00 AM.
  • Early Check-in and Late Check-Out is subject to availability and discretion of the property.
  • Guests are welcome to use the common areas during this time.
  • Accepted IDs: Passport, Aadhar Card, Driving License, Voter ID. PAN Card is not valid.
  • Specific policies may apply at certain hostels during specific times; these will be communicated at check-in.
  • For 3+ travelers, same dorm accommodation is not guaranteed, depends on availability at check-in.
  • Accepted payment modes: Cash, Debit/Credit Cards, UPI.
  • Foreign guests must show a valid physical passport with visa. No valid documents = no check-in (non-refundable).
  • Guests under 18 may check-in only with legal guardians in private rooms or full dorm bookings.
  • Children above 7 years: Extra charge Rs.600/night (incl. taxes) with extra bed/mattress.
  • Right to admission is reserved.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancel 7+ days (168 hrs) before check-in → 100% refund. Within 7 days → No refund.
  • Bookings made within 7 days of check-in are non-refundable.
  • Modifications allowed once, up to 7 days before check-in. Rate differences apply.
  • Refunds processed within 7 working days.
  • No-shows → 100% charge of reservation.
  • Early departures are non-refundable.
  • Bookings via third-party platforms (Booking.com, MMT, Agoda, etc.) must be cancelled via the same platform.
  • Entire stay considered one booking; cancellation policy applies from check-in date.
  • Reservations cannot be shifted to another location. Eligible free cancellations will be refunded, and guests may rebook.
  • Cancellation requests must be emailed to reservation@thesocialstays.com with reservation ID & details.

Extension Policy

  • Extension of stay is subject to availability.
  • Rates will be as per current website rates, not previous booking rates.

Pet Policy

  • Pets allowed only in private rooms (not dorms).
  • No charges for bringing pets.
  • Guests are fully responsible for their pets. Damages must be borne by the guest.
  • Pets must be kept clean and hygienic throughout the stay.

General Policy

  • Inappropriate behaviour may result in action against the guest after fair investigation.
  • Self-service encouraged wherever possible.
  • Non-resident guests not allowed inside rooms; meetings only in common areas.
  • Guests responsible for their belongings stored in lockers.
  • All hostels are CCTV enabled for safety and audits.
  • Smoking strictly prohibited inside dorms/rooms. Designated smoking areas only.
  • 100% prepayment required to secure reservation. Non-payment may lead to cancellation.
  • Extra mattresses available at Rs.600/night (incl. taxes), subject to availability.
  • Some policies may vary based on location, season, or booking time.
  • The Social Stays may contact guests for offers, feedback, or promotions via email.
  • Meals not included unless chosen in booking; charged separately at property.
  • Non-resident guest visiting hours: 9 AM – 9 PM. Silence hours: 10 PM onwards.
Please Note: Extra bed/mattress will be subject to availability at check-in. Charges may not apply during peak dates (holidays, festivals, high-demand periods).
